This utility Adds a list of Item
or Location Definitions to the EPS Database
This application is designed to assist in adding Item or Location definitions to the EPS
database. Frequently you will need to add a set of definitions that will be numbered
sequentially (or close), the Add List utility expedites and simplifies these
additions. The Configuration tab is where additions are defined. The following
is a typical screen.

The Duplicates section defines what to be done when attempting to add to the database if
the entry you are trying to add already exists in the Database.
The Table Definitions section defines what type(s) of records are to be added to the
database (and into which table they go). Changing this entry modified the default
format shown below.
The Definition entries define the format of the records to be added.
If defining Locations, you need to indicate how these will be defined, Imported from a
ASCII text file, by a user defined range entry, or via a CollectIR serial number
definition.
Info Records can automatically be added for either Item or Location entries. If
your application uses the extended Information entry table, this option should be
selected.
The # entries defined on this screen will be redefined based on the numeric range that is
specified on the definition screen. Any of the fields on the configuration screen
can be edited to create more appropriate names for the group of entries to be added.
The Definition screen is used to define the range of entries to be added to the
Database, it also allows the individual entries to be modified. A typical definition
screen, after adding a range of entries is seen below.

Selecting each of these will show the definitions to be added to the database at the
bottom of the screen. These entries can be changed by editing the fields
displayed. Once the desired changes have been made, clicking the "Add to
DB" command button actually adds the entries from the list to the database.
This two step process allows you to review all of your entries before committing them to
the database. If a change needs to be made after adding Tag/Items or Locations
definitions to the database, the dbEntry application should be
used.
