BuildDB Icon    The BuildDB application is used to create, import or update a EPS Database
When initially installing or upgrading from version to version of the Event Processing System the BuildDB utility is automatically invoked from the EPS Setup installation program.  If the BuildDB application is run after installation the user will be asked for the applications password before proceeding.  This request appears as shown below.

Once your password has been entered (followed by the enter key), you will see another form confirming the options specified in your BuildDB.CFG file.  The form, when importing another EPS database appears as shown below.

Here you are shown the Input and Output Database names and given an option to Quit.   If you want to proceed click on the Continue Build command button.  If the output database exists you will be presented with a rather stern warning asking if you are sure that you want to overwrite the existing output database.  This warning is shown below.

If you select yes you will be shown the Input/Output definition menu shown above.   Once you select Continue Build the process is generally completely automatic.   The BuildDB application will build the required tables, import any data from the input Database and than add any required records as defined in the BuildDB.CFG file.   Once the Build/Import process is complete you will see a screen as shown below.

To exit the application just hit enter or click on the Quit command button.

The table and date information shown to the lower right of the screen are all defined in the BuildDB.CFG file, unless you need to specifically omit certain data, these options will generally not be changed.
