Command Control is used to send
user defined data to RS232 control device(s)
This application is designed to send user defined data out one to three serial ports when
specified tags are seen at specified locations. Information regarding the tag may
optionally be sent also. Setting up this application requires the EPS Database to
contain a group definition (by default the Group Name is CmdGroup), this group contains
the tags/items to monitor. The EPS Database must also have Location commands
defined. These are the ASCII command strings that will be sent out when a selected
Tag/Item is seen at this location. Up to three output strings can be defined per
location. The screen below shows the typical appearance of the CmdCtl Tags screen.

In the CmdGroup there are four members defined, three with a priority of 1, another with a
priority of zero. The Tag/Item priority is used to enable/disable tags. If the
required minimum priority is not met then that tag/item is effectively disabled. The
minimum priority value is defined via the CmdCtl.cfg file.
The screen below shows the typical appearance of the CmdCtl Locations screen.
This screen contain all entries from the EPS LocCmd table. These entries are defined
via the EPS DbEntry utility.

The screen above shows that the Atrium locations send out a two byte command code for each
location.
The screen below shows the typical appearance of the CmdCtl Options screen

This screen shows many of the settings contained in the CmdCtl.cfg file, it also displays
statistics regarding the number of receptions from the Event Processor and transmissions
to the serial control devices.
