The active diagram below shows some of the components that can be configured when using CollectIR's active IR tags with the Event Processing System.  These tags send their unique Tag Id when in motion.  This unique Tag Id is picked-up by IR sensors (each with their own unique sensor Id) and sent to a PC running the EPS SubNetIO application.   This application buffers tag receptions for transmission to the Event Processor.   Any number of other applications can then connect to the Event Processor to determine the current (real-time) location of the IR tags which can be assigned to people or assets.  Applications such as Find can also query the Event Processor for a tag's current location or for the tags at a specified location based on user selections.

This system could include many other components, but for simplicity, only the core components are shown.
