The EP Timer utility sends user
defined Events to the Event Processor.
The EP timer application is used to send user defined events to the Event Processor at
either a specified time or after a specified interval of time has elapsed. This
capability is very useful for system testing and verification of external interfaces to
the Event Processing System. This capability can be used to trigger EPS Alarm
activities to insure that alarms function as expected.
The following screen shows the same event being triggered three times a day. The
intention here was to trigger an Alphanumeric "Trouble" page once per shift to
make sure that all pagers were functioning properly.

The Above specifies that at 15 minutes and 15 seconds after midnight, at 8:15:15 and at
4:15:15 in the afternoon a trouble event from the Cottonwood location will be sent to the
Event Processor. The "Add Send Definition" allows the user to specify what
event will be sent to the Event Processor from the Items/Assets and locations defined in
the EPS database. The following screen shows how a typical selection would appear.

Here you can see the Trouble and Cottonwood Items selected.
This application is very useful when initially setting a system up, for testing system
operation and for system demonstration.
