Find is a thin client application
used to locate people or view locations.
The Find application is interactive, it does not view all transactions sent out from the
Event Processor. It only connects to the Event Processor to request the location of
a Person/Asset or to determine what People/Assets are at a specified location. Find
does not directly access the EPS database. Find can be used to set personal alerts
which are more limited in scope and complexity than the Alarms
Application. This is useful in individuals looking for a specific condition to occur.
The typical Find People screen is shown below.

Here you can see the Home Office phone of the individual selected. If TAPI dialing
services are available, clicking the "Office" command button places a call to
this extension.
Double clicking on the individual's location presents the following screen.

Here we can see the the person is currently in the Computer Room at extension 6478.
Again, if TAPI dialing services are available, clicking the "Now At" command
button places a call to this extension. Clicking the Continue command button returns
to the previous screen.
The typical Find Location screen is shown below.

Here you can see the phone number of the selected location. If TAPI dialing services
are available, clicking the "Office" command button places a call to this
extension.
Double clicking on the location presents the following screen.

Here we can see all of the People that are currently in the Computer Room at extension
6478. Again, if TAPI dialing services are available, clicking the "Now At"
command button places a call to this extension. Clicking the Continue command button
returns to the previous screen.
The typical Find Alert Definition screen is shown below.

Here we can see that one alert is defined, any time that the selected Item (Ron) exits his
office, a pop-up for 2 seconds (with 400Mhz tone) will be displayed on the Find Screen.
The following shows this display.

Selecting the Show Log command button would display a screen which looks like the
following.

Find is the application that should be placed on most users' desks for locating
people/assets or viewing locations. It requires a minimum number of resources and
offers flexible configuration.
