The Maintain
Application provides the ability to schedule work orders.
This application is used in conjunction with the woEntry
application. The work order entry application provides the ability to enter and
report on work orders, while the Maintain application allows for the definition of
activities which are done on a repetitive basis. It can then take these repetitive
activities and create any number of work orders out into the future. This
application tracks when the last scheduled work order was defined so that future
definition can be picked-up at the same point. A typical Maintenance screen is show
below.

The above has defined a weekly activity to trim Plants, we have defined that we want to
create a set of work orders from the last date (22 Jul 1998) through 15 Dec 1998.
Since this is just being scheduled as a corrective action, technician and parts used are
left blank. The woEntry application will be used at the scheduled dates to add or
change the other information fields. The screen below shows how the screen would
appear after clicking the "Make New Work Orders" command button.

Note at the top left of the screen it indicates that 20 work orders were added and that
the last scheduled date was changed to 9 Dec 1998. The 20 entries were added to the
EPS Detail Database. The scheduling frequency is very flexible with the following
time frames being predefined (others could be defined by the user if required).
