MoveTag allows Tags/Items to
be "moved" manually
The purpose of this utility is to manually create tag/Item arrival/state change events and
send then to the Event Processor. This utility is frequently used for test purposes.
But, it can also be configured to automatically select a tag at a specified
location for movement of that tag to a new location. The MoveTag utility can hide and
expose many of it's capabilities via options specified in its .CFG file.
The screen below shows the typical MoveTag selection screen.

This screen shows the Tag/Item selected for movement, the location that the Tag/Item will
be moved to and the State that will be set in the movement. Clicking on the Move Tag
command button sends the movement event to the Event Processor.
The screen below shows the typical MoveTag Option selection screen.

 | The Auto Select Option is used to specify that if any tag/item shows up in at the
location specified, that Tag/Item will automatically be selected in the Tag/Item selection
column (usually used for active IR/RF tags). This allows users, to move their tag to
a new location (like "Out to Lunch"). |
 | The Queue xMits option allows multiple transmissions to be sent out together in a single
transmission block. This is usually used for testing. |
 | The Previous moves section shows the Date/Time and description of previous moves sent
from the MoveTag utility. |
