Path Track monitors
specific tags/paths for deviations
The path track application is designed to make sure that People/Items follow predefined
paths (location to location) within specified periods of time. Any number of paths
can be defined. A path can consist of any number of location entries. For each
defined path any number of People/Items can be defined to follow specified paths.
Tracking of Items on paths does not commence until the Person/Item is seen at the path
entry point (first path location). Tracking on a path ceases when the Person/Item is
seen at the Path Stop location. The EPS Database is used to define the Path names,
Path locations and tags used for each path. Once a Person/Item has entered a path
location, they have a user defined number of seconds to get to the next path
location. If more time elapses a "Left Path" event is sent to the Event Processor. This event is in-turn sent to the Alarms application which can trigger any user defined event upon
receiving the "Left Path" notification (this may be a Alphanumeric page, closing
a relay, screen-pop, etc). The same "Left Path" event is triggered if a
Person/Item is seen at a location which is not the next scheduled location, in this case
there is no delay, the "Left Path" event is sent to the event processor as soon
as the Person/Item is seen at an unexpected location.
The following screen shows a typical Path Track screen when no People/Items have
entered a path.

In the above there are two defined paths; Atrium Path and Healthcare Path. One
person may be tracked on the Atrium path and three may be tracked on the Healthcare Path.
The following screen shows the appearance after a tag has entered each path.

The CntDn column shows how much longer a tag may be seen at a location before a "Left
Path" event is triggered. If this count down timer expires the "Left
Path" event is sent to the Event Processor and screen changes to show the
"Alarmed" Person/Item.

The Paths Tab allows you to view the defined paths and allowed times at each location.
Person/Item and alarm state is also displayed on this screen as seen below.

The options tab allows you to define the tables appearance and the colors used.
A typical Options screen is shown below.

The Path Track application would typically be used to implement a Handsfree Security
Guard Tour Duty system or for tracking valuables within a facility (Cash Cart). This
application could certainly be used for other applications besides these.
