The active diagram below shows some of the components that can be configured when Tractec's Spool & Reel Tracking System, active Infrared Tags and the Event Processing System are used together. The IR tags send their unique Tag ID, motion sensor status and battery status. This unique Tag ID is picked-up by IR Sensors (each with their own unique Sensor ID) and sent to a PC running the EPS SubNetIO application. Any number of SubNetIO applications can be running on a network to facilitate data collection covering very large areas. The Event processor can have any number of other applications connected to it. Any number of Event Processing Systems can be interconnected either locally or through telecommunications networks. The Spool & Reel Tracking System assigns two Infrared Tags per spool of paper (one
on each end of the spool). The Spool & Reel Tracking System maintains current
location information for each Spool and the data pertaining to which product is on each
spool. The product data is sent from the host system. The Reel Server
application acts as a communications conduit from the host system to and from the Reel
Track application. Reel (product) data sent from the host system is then sent to the
Event Processor so that all applications connected to the Event Processor have access to
this product data. This allows the Map application to display an appropriate icon
(based on product type) for each Spool that is displayed by Map. Additional
Spool/Reel data can be displayed by clicking in the Map icons. Contact
