It is suggested that the AddList utility be used to define the Residents (Items) and
the Home Locations (Apartments) before using this application. Select the following
to see sample AddList screens for the above definitions.
Before using the RFwizard the default ranges must be specified using the Ranges definition
tab. A typical Ranges screen is shown below. This application will typically appear as seen below when waiting for an RF button to
be pressed (RFIDIN) must be enabled to send to the RFwiz
application). When a button is pressed, RFwiz will either indicate that it is a new button, or show
the old button data for editing. The following is what is seen when a new button is
pressed. In the example below, we have selected Item Id 100 to be used with this button. The
name associated with this item should be changed to the name of the resident that is
assigned this button. This may not be possible when a system is setup initially, so
the RFwiz can be used later to change the name assigned to a button at any time. The home receiver is the RF receiver that is closest (most likely to see a button
pressed when a resident is in their own apartment). These receivers can be defined
on the RFwiz Ranges screen or by using the "Add New" Home Receiver command
button. Finally the resident's home location should be selected. These Home Locations
(apartments) can be defined via the AddList Utility or by using the "Add New"
Home Location command button. The RF wizard also provides for simple reporting to verify system setup and for system
test. The Data screen provides access to these capabilities. This screen is
seen below. Last Modified: February 11, 2003 |
