The Simplex Interface sends fire/alarm data to the Event Processor 
The Simplex Alarm Interface receives serial data from a Simplex Alarm/Fire system and outputs events from this system to the Event Processing System so that other EPS applications (namely the Alarm Server) can take action upon the Simplex Alarm definitions.   Many Simplex interface options are contained in the Simplex.Cfg file.  A typical Simplex Receive Data screen is seen below.
