The Sentry Receive application
interfaces with a Security System Receiver.
The purpose of this application is to translate the output from a variety of Security
System Receivers (with different output formats) into inputs that the Event Processing
System (Event Processor) can send to its other applications. A typical SSentry
application Received Data screen is shown below.

The SSentry application also keeps track of when and which code was last seen from each
location defined in the EPS database, allowing quick review of the last report from each
location.

If data is not received from the Security Receiver at a regular interval, the SSentry
application can go into alarm locally to indicate the error state, it can also send an
alphanumeric page to indicate the error condition. The SSentry application can also
send a "Test Page" at user defined intervals to insure that Alphanumeric pagers
are operating correctly (don't have a dead battery). The screen below shows some of
the Options and Statistics that can be seen on a typical SSentry Display & Option
screen.

The ssTest application can be used to test the SSentry
application.
